L'ÉQUIPE: PSG's elimination from the Coupe de France upset the Parisian board

Mauricio Pochettino continues to struggle to give his PSG a gaming identity, and has so far failed to satisfy his bosses' desire for national hegemony.

PSG's early elimination from the Coupe de France did not please the PSG board. Eliminated in the round of 16 in "their competition" by Nice on Monday, the club from the French capital were not spared criticism. As revealed by L'ÉQUIPE, this unexpected end of the course "was not really well digested by the high command of PSG", both by the emir of Qatar, its owner, and by its president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

The immediate future of the Argentine is not in question, although the situation is analyzed this summer. For its part, it is estimated "that with such a squad, the minimum would be to reign in national tournaments", as L'ÉQUIPE points out. However, since his arrival at the club in January 2021, Mauricio Pochettino has won only one trophy at French level: the 2021 French Cup. Both the last championship and the Trophée des Champions, lost 1-0, were awarded to Lille.
